DuPont™Vespel®
If you already specify DuPont™Vespel® polyimide parts , or are considering using it for the first time, you may be looking for a responsive supplier of machined parts who offers unbiased guidance on material selection and component design.
In 2009 we added Vespel® to our extensive materials portfolio with the aim of becoming the first choice supplier for machined parts and cut-to-length stock shapes.
Vespel® has provided a cost-effective solution in a wide range of applications by satisfying the most stringent requirements for weight reduction, long service life, chemical exposure and extreme temperature resistance.
- There are five families of Vespel® materials available. The well known S Line range used for machined parts includes SP-1, SP-21, SP-211, SP-22 and SP-3
- Not so well known are the new grades of Vespel®. For example, the SCP family offer even better performance than SP grades!
- We provide impartial guidance to help you select which grade of Vespel®, or other polyimide/engineering plastic, best suits your application and commercial requirements
- Our made to order service ensures you receive a fast response to RFQ and your parts are delivered to very short lead times, in any quantity, size or geometry
- Use our cut-to-length service if you require a non standard size for machining
- Our engineers will assist with part design optimisation, including comparison between machining and direct forming processes
- DuPont™ engineers are available to provide technical support, material property information and testing
